To say I’m proud of this piece is an understatement. Not just because I’m pleased with how she turned out. But because this piece is the first piece I created as a Content Artist for Daydream Apothecary. It symbolizes so much for me. My hard work paying off. My love for this company. One door shutting as another one opens. I didn’t have a certain direction with this piece but as I worked on it, It morphed into a peacock inspired piece. Which in itself is special. I looked up what Peacocks symbolize. Besides beauty, the peacock symbolizes rebirth, renewal, sisterhood, passion, and integrity. I can’t describe how fitting all this is. To create this look I was inspired by Tanglewood Sue smoosh and moosh technique. I added my own pouncy  pounce to this technique and love the results. The top was stained in an espresso color. I added a retro peacock furniture transfer and crystal handles to finish off the look. All was sealed using Dream Coat. I love love LOVE how adding these Neons curated by Anissa Marie to this piece gave it that perfect glow. They play perfectly with the other colors I chose from Worn To Whimsy’s Coastal line & Chloe Kempster Design Botanical line. All from Daydream Apothecary. It just goes to show how pairing neons with other colors can really elevate a piece.
